What type of support can I expect from the agency?
24/7. In addition to the required professional credentials of our Administrators, Social Workers and Clinicians, Family Health & Support Network, Inc. employs compassionate, caring and well trained staff who are committed to working with our parents to ensure the best possible care, support and supervision is provided to the precious lives that have been entrusted in our care. Therefore we provide 24/7 availability to all of our certified homes.
Our focus is to provide effective therapeutic intervention within an environment optimal for change. We regard that environment as not just the home for which the child resides but also the relationships between the caring adults who are working together to meet the child's needs. By providing extensive support and training to our foster parents, ongoing treatment for our children, and a well-trained and professional staff, our program offers at-risk children in foster care hope and a chance for success.
FINANCIAL REIMBURSEMENT
Naturally, there is no amount of money an individual can be paid to provide authentic love and support to a child in need. Consequently, foster parents are not employees of the agency but instead receive monthly reimbursement for the expenses associated to the provision of care. The regulated reimbursement is based on the child's age and the lenght of stay. Family Health recognizes the expenses associated to providing quality care and so we reimburse our certified parents at a rate above the stte recommended rate.
MEDICAL INSURANCE FOR KIDS
California law requires counties to take steps to ensue that children placed in foster care get necessary health care. Most children who have been abandoned by their parents or removed from their parents' custody are eligible for free Medi-Cal regardless of their immigration status, with every limited exceptions. Our Agency Social Worker will complete the necessary paperwork to ensure children receive the necessary health benefits.
